Prayer requests -
Elaine is having a really bad migraine again (prolonged headache) and she will be taking her first AP exam on 4/5/10 (statistics) and 5/5/10, on calculus. Please keep her in prayer for this big exam.

Gayan will be teaching dance on sundays 12pm to 1pm thus she would not be able to attend fellowship anymore for these few months. please keep her in prayer. Pray gayan to be able to maintain a close relationship with God despite her busy schedule.

Kinhang was sick last sunday and thus could not attend fellowship. please keep him in prayer, pray for him to get well soon and take care of health in army.

Junting will be having Taekwondo grading this saturday and sunday and will not be able to join us this week. PLease keep him in prayer for his grading, pray that he'll get double promotion LOL (:

Special prayer request from loretta:Pray for loretta who is currently doing a big project with presentations. Pray that she'll continue to rely on God to give her strength! *pray for loretta's friend who have just passed away due to a car accident last monday..

Prayer is effective:
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

The Teachings of Jesus:
"'Have faith in God,' Jesus answered. 'I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins'" (Mark 11:22-25).

Summary of last sunday's fellowship-查经 on 3/5/10

Keyword: Change!

1 timothy 1: 12-20

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight, holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith. 20Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.



Paul changed from a prosecutor,violent man and a blasphemer to someone who had faith, love and served God faithfully.
Paul was thankful to god because though paul was the worst of sinners, God still showed mercy to Paul, appointing Paul as his faithful servant.
At the same time, Paul reminds us that its important to withstand to false teachings with faith and a good conscience, dont end up like Hymenaeus and Alexander who have shipwrecked their faith.


Reflections: Questions to reflect and ponder about..
What about us?
-Have we changed after accepting christ as our savior?
-How can we practically use our story or changes in our live as a way to share the gospel?
-Think about how we can change to become a blessing to non-believers

Should we also always remember to thank Jesus for coming to the world to save us sinners?

What are the biggest barriers in our lives that may have the potential to shipwreck our faith?
We'll need to pray to God about them and seek God for help!
